Fret sawIt is a type of saw with a narrow blade used for some difficult wood cutting work, and it normally includes some complicated patterns and curves. Its blade is shallow when compared with other types of saws and it has a very deep frame and it is also known as a scroll saw Coping sawIt is a type of saw used for cutting cutouts in larger woods and detailed outer shapes of the wood. By drilling a hole in the middle of the wood, this saw can cut difficult cuttings in the middle wood very effectively through a drilled hole. There are many similar things with both fret saw and coping saw. Both saws can be customized with special blades besides a cut on any type of wood, metal, plastic and even ceramic. But the types of blades of both the saws are different from each other depending on the use. And the coping saw blade is thicker than the fret saw blade. When noticing the teeth of the blades, the fret saw blade has 14 to 48 TPI whereas the coping saw has 12 to 20 TPI. Here TPI refers to Teeth per Inch.
